Dr. Andrew Vidich and Whirling Dervishes |

Dr. Andrew Vidich is an educator,
international speaker, author, and editor
of more than
five books. His latest book is "Light Upon
Light: Five Master Paths to Awakening the
Mindful Self."
Whirling Dervishes and Semazen from

Ecstatic Zikr and Turning Practice from
the spiritual transmission of Mevlana
Jelaluddin Rumi and Sufi Murshid Samuel

will be offered
by Whirling Dervishes NYC,
a circle of friends from throughout the
US who travel to NYC twice yearly to share
their practice with the local
community. Participants will include
Murshida Khadija, Sheikh Mansur, Murshid
Khabir, Semazen Jamila, Semazen Mudita,
Semazen Ana Farishta,
Semazen Habiba and others.
Whirling Dervishes NYC will help celebrate
the opening of "Light of the Sufis: The
Mystical Arts of Islam" a new Brooklyn
Museum Islamic Gallery exhibit on view
June 5-September 6, 2009.

Andrew Vidich
Dr. Andrew Vidich is an educator,
international speaker, author, and editor
of more than
five books. His books include
Love
is a Secret (1990), critically
acclaimed by the Institute of Noetic
Sciences which stated that "it provided a
great service to readers interested in the
deeper dimensions of mystical love." He
has co-edited a collection of writings of
the twentieth century Spiritual Saint,
Sant Kirpal Singh entitled,
The
Spiritual Path: An
Anthology of the Writings by Sant Kirpal
Singh. He co-authored
The Heart
of the Healer, an investigation
into the nature of healing (1987), which
sold more than twenty thousand copies.
Most recently,
The Sufi
Method of Self-Transformation,
in
Classical Islam (Islamic
Supreme Council Press) and contributor to
The
Heart of Healing, edited by
Dawson Church, (Elite Books). His
latest book is "Light Upon Light: Five Master Paths to
