Ph. D., was a Professor at NYU for many years. 

   
He has led, the New York Ava Ensemble which has performed throughout the United States.
The Ensemble is dedicated to promoting traditional Persian music utilizing ancient instruments, as well as performing classical Persian poetry, much of which was originally intended to be sung.

   Dr. Anvar's credits include translations from
English and Italian into Persian; He also holds a doctorate in Middle Eastern Studies from NYU.
